2014: Word of the Year

Ever heard of a "Word of the Year"? Well now's the time! Instead of making a long droning list of goals that are way out of my league, I am going to make a word list only containing one thing. I will focus 2014 through this single word, and thus attain a better me though the process. This years word is...

sym·pa·thy
ˈsimpəTHē/
noun
  1. 1.
feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune.
"they had great sympathy for the flood victims"
  2. 2.
    understanding between people; common feeling.
"the special sympathy between the two boys was obvious to all"
This past 2013 year I found myself caught up in my own life and (what I thought) sorrows. Often this mind-set led me to a zombie-like state and a me, me, me attitude. Attractive, right?
So this next year, I vow to act with grace towards others, think more about what others' may be feeling in a situation, and have compassion.
Which, in turn, will then bring me the warm fuzzies (this is where the THY part comes in!)

What is you 2014 word of the year?

  1. I love that you have a word of the year! I think mine will be acceptance. Acceptance of myself, for the things I can't change, and for those around me :) Happy New Year! xo
