Detox Water: Apple Cinnamon

Picture from My Best Badi
A cool new way to detox and feel your best throughout the day! They always say, an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. So  here is your post, don't forget you can vary the recipe to fit your liking.

Need:
  • 2 apples, sliced. (I like using the Fuji or green apples. Any will work)
  • Cinnamon (I used ground cinnamon, wrapped in a coffee filter)
  • 2 Quarts Water
  • Pitcher
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
Instructions:
  • Bring water to boil, drop temperature to simmer, add all sliced apples, and let cinnamon seep in pan. (all I did was take some ground cinnamon, wrap in a coffee filter and tie it up with string for a make shift tea bag.) You may also use cinnamon sticks, but those are a tad more expensive.
  • Let simmer for about 20 minutes. Turn off burner and remove tea bag.
  • Pour into pitcher and add two capfuls of apple cider vinegar (it is recommended you drink 1 tablespoon of  apple cider vinegar daily to aid tummy bacteria, clear sinuses, beats exhaustion and leg cramps, and whitens teeth)
  • Add ice or put in fridge, then drink up!

Since many of us were out late last night, drinking sugared bevs and eating processed food to celebrate the new year, I figured this simple recipe could help you start off the new year right.
