Uptown Cheapskate

Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of Uptown Cheapskate in Sugarhouse. It was such a fun experience, and one of my second blogger events.
For those of you that don't know, Uptown Cheapskate is located all over the US but has many stores in Utah! They buy your old (but good looking) clothes from you, and then they resell them to others. What's one man's trash is another man's treasure!
I haven't sold to Uptown Cheapskate yet, but I am going this weekend to! I hear that they buy with fair prices, and they offer 25% more if you decide you would rather have immediate store credit!
While I shopped with some of my friends, I found amazing deals! I was able to score a practically new Rock & Republic jacket for $20! I ended up leaving the store with 4 shirts, a fur vest, and a jacket and spent a total of $60. I was giddy for days!
Also, I must tell you, the store does not smell like old clothes, or carry ratty items (such as Plato's Closet). I was also pleased with the service there! They were friendly, helpful, and kind! They even started a bin for me, and when I tried things on, they said to leave them for the staff to clean up. A++ service!
