If My Clothes Could Talk

Lately I have been thinking about the question, “If my clothes could talk, what would they say?”
They would say a lot, really.
They would say things like, “Why haven’t you worn me in months?” (that’s the little guy that I don’t fit into)
or, “Careful, my seams are pulling!” (The medium dude that is chill, but has his boundaries aka my favorite pair of jeans)
or even
“Well, I know you’re not really that into me because my label tells everyone you’re larger than life, but can we still be friends?”
Oh, they’d talk all right.

My “Wellness Journey” isn’t a continuous upward climb. It has mountains and valleys, curves, hills, and winding roads. Some days or years I am on my fit game: working out and eating just right. Sometimes it takes all I can to keep carbs out of my life.
More recently, I had felt the huuuuuge gain of weight that I had put on post-foot surgery. There was no more making excuses about my foot recovering or being in pain; it was time to take control back. After all, it has been two years! It was becoming a problem that I would walk into my closet full of clothes in the morning and have nothing to wear that fit right! I wanted that slim and healthy body I had my junior year of college when I was working out 3-5 times a week and my daily diet consisted of only things that would fuel my body.
So, I took the plunge and vowed to my husband that I would not eat carbs or processed sugar unless it was a super duper special occasion. It worked! I traded out quickie doughnuts on my way to work and high carb fast food lunches for a protein shake each meal. Dinner could be anything I wanted– as long as it was zero processed sugar, low carb, and high fat. I didn’t even touch the gym and the inches were sliding off of me.
Finally, when I was feeling back to a point where I wasn’t embarrassed to be seen trying, I got back on my road bike and haven’t put it away yet! It’s not like there have been magical, amazing results; I actually don’t even know the amount of pounds lost. In the end, all that matters is that my clothing has been fitting better, I don’t feel bloated, and I actually stay full longer, which results in more energy.

This year, with some money we had been saving and our tax return, Spencer and I bought him a motorcycle. However, next year is my turn! That means I get to spend the money on whatever fun thing I would like. Now that I have been focusing on my health and fitness, I want to be able to get rid of those hard areas, like my abdomen! That’s where SculpSure will come in.
SculpSure is the world’s first FDA-cleared laser treatment for non-invasive lipolysis of the flanks and abdomen.SculpSure is a non-invasive body contouring treatment for the reduction of stubborn fat in areas such as the abdomen and love handles. The 25 minute procedure destroys up to 24%1 of treated fat cells without surgery.
I can’t wait to see the end results of the combination of life changes. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted when it happens;)

I am like you. Many peaks and valleys. Some weeks I am good and other weeks forget it. I would love to try this laser treatment. I will have to do some more research. Thank you so much for sharing. I wish you the best.
