NYFW Look 2

NYFW Day 2 was filled with long subway rides up and down town. It may have been hotter than hell out there, but it was still a blast. Just thinking about the subway brings back not-so-faint smells of oil and sweat! Did I mention we saw rats running along the rails? Waiting in the underground sauna with rodents couldn’t stop us from taking the cheaper way out! I had a couple of friends that insisted on Uber. One spent nearly $400 on rides alone! Spence and I spent a hefty $30 each for a weeklong public transit pass. It included busses as well, but those babies are slooooow.
During my stay there, among exploring the city and hitting up fashion shows (I want to give them coverage, but I never feel like I have the time to write up a post — if you are dying to see behind the scenes, check out my Instagram feed), I was able to collaborate with business women!
Meg Stringham is a business owner in Utah that knows how to work! This girl owns so many businesses that I want her to teach me her ways. Her true baby is Runway Hair Salon located in Orem. She ran off to New York Fashion Week to do hair on some models! In between shows, I grabbed her to do my hair in the style of the runway show KYBOE! It was all about big, lustrous, beautiful curls! It was fun to have her on “set” so she could fix my hair in between shots with Sara from Peace Photo.
Peace Photo has been building her photography business for awhile, but she is a local favorite among bloggers to shoot their fashion outfit photos! I was anxious to work with her when all of my friends spoke highly of her work. My anticipations finally came to pass in none other than New York City!
From the minute I received this top from Metisu, I knew that it had to be shown off while I was back East! It is so bold, yet delicate at the same time, that it captures everyone’s eyes on the street! I paired the blouse with some gold jewelry that can also be found on Metisu.
Can I go back?

Thank you! It probably is a dress, but because I am tall, it shows too much leg 😉

I love your top that it is so feminine and romantic. The hair style you chose was a great compliment. One could even accent your top by having jewelry that matches the flower petals!
