Styled by 5: The Softest Leggings Ever

Winter styling and outfits can be hard because you just want to bundle up! I often get the winter blues around mid-January after being stuck inside and just so tired of being cold. Suzy Shattuck and I got together this past week to create winter-friendly ensembles that include layering and warmth for even the chilliest of days. Don’t worry, the looks wouldn’t be complete without parkas, leggings, booties, and of course, blanket scarves.

Remember Suzy? She was in my last post from earlier this week when we styled a white pants/gold blouse and wine colored jumpsuit. We thought another shoot was needed to complete our collaboration because our big personalities can’t just fit into one blog post. From the minute I put this coat on from Roolee Boutique, I knew I was in love. The inner lining is plush and perfect for a perma-frozen person like myself. I styled it with my Sweet Leg leggings in Licorice Black and the rest of the outfit came together by itself.

The leggings were a particularly good find, because, well, good ones are hard to come by. I often have to purchase military grade leggings in order for them to be opaque enough to wear anywhere. Most of my leggings have too much stretch, or not enough. Rough fabric is another common problem I run into. I finally had resorted to getting yoga leggings for my normal leggings… until Sweet Legs. These glide on my legs while I glide through life. You see, these are basically The Sisterhood of the Traveling Leggings. Except we all have our own pair. The title still works, because, you know, we live in different places and all come in different sizes, but the same size leggings work. Okay, I have aged myself.
