Crop Tops and The Wild Cloth

midi shirt, midriff shirt, orange blouse
bell bottoms, flare jeans, high waist jeans outfit
Every once in a while I find an outfit and it just clicks and becomes a favorite. That is exactly what happened when I styled an outfit with this blood orange crop top from The Wild Cloth. It usually happens with an off-the-wall item of clothing that pushes me out of my comfort zone; when I received this top in the mail I was actually very intimidated to put it together in an outfit. "How can I wear a midriff top?!" I asked myself.

Turns outs that my Free People high waist bell bottoms were the perfect pair. The outfit made history in my closet, and I no longer fear crop tops thanks to The Wild Cloth! Of course, I love every outfit I put together (well, almost every), but this one makes me feel like I achieved the style I always want to emulate-- boho chic!

BTDubs, you should invest in a lace bralette like this one from Free People! It has saved me more than once when a top is too low cut, but a tank top looks a little more than juvenile.

Also BTW, if you are ever over on my Instagram account (username: lauryncakes) you might have seen my post yesterday about having to take a week long break! IG had blocked me from commenting for a week, which meant I couldn't post captions (because those count as comments?). It was a rough reality, since I rely on the app for my blog, but the forced Instagram detox really helped me get my life back in action! I spent a lot more time outdoors being active last week. It may just be correlation, not causation, but it makes me want to take more breaks from social media more often!

  2. love this outfit and that you wore a lace bralette underneath. I hate resorting to just tank tops, it really does look juvenile haha!
