One of the best parts (okay, okay, there were MANY great parts) about NYFW was being able to collaborate with so many talented businesses!
When I went to the ShopStyle Social House #SSSocialHouse, I met a new blogger, Oriane, from My Fashion Break. I took photos with a famous fashion photographer. We were given the option to rent this season's clothing from vendors that work with ShopStyle (like this beautiful SportMax dress from LUISAVIROMA).
The day of this particular photoshoot, I spent being pampered by Meg Stringham from the local Utah hair salon called Runway Hair Salon. She showed me some of the styles that she had been using on the models at fashion shows that week! This huge hair-do was modeled after the KYBOE! fashion show that featured upscale watches.
It was so unique to take pictures in New York with Peace Photo. I could be in a full length gown that cost over a thousand dollars, with a huge head of hair, and a photographer following me around, and no one gave a flying flip. We all laughed about how photoshoots in Utah are usually coupled with death stares, gawking, and whispers. In New York City, everyone is making fashion statements and nothing is out of the ordinary! It was completely refreshing to feel normal. Isn't that strange? In such a huge city, with so many people, I felt like we all were connected. I loved that about New York.
