Why You Should be Moisturizing

Image: Curél

Did you know that dry skin is a BIG issue for many young people? If you live in an arid area (like I do in Utah), lotion is not only helpful, but also necessary in skincare!

Curél recently reached out to 40 bloggers (yes I was one of those bloggers!) to conduct a survey about their dry skin pet-peeves and problems. The results of the study turned out very interesting, and raise the question: why aren't more people using Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer in their daily routine?!

According to the survey: 50% of those asked reported that they use body lotion daily. 70% of influencers surveyed said that they have had an embarrassing situation because of their dry skin! I was blown away that others had actually had embarrassing experiences like I have had. (You can ask my husband about mine if you’re curious!)

The survey got me thinking about my own moisturizing routine and the changes I needed to make to ensure my skin will be healthy when I’m “grown up”. My old lotion left me feeling oily but not hydrated so I decided it was time to switch things up! I also used to moisturize with lotion before my shower in my daily regimen. Since switching to the Wet Skin Moisturizer I have started hydrating afterwards. It was a good decision to switch because it doesn’t matter whether my shower is in the morning while getting ready, during the daytime after working, or at night before bed because my skin locks in the moisture for hours! After going through so many different trials of lotions and potions myself, I found that Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer offered a far superior experience! One of the best characteristics of the lotion is that it has a lasting power. I can put the moisturizer on in the morning and not have to reapply for hours!

Interestingly, many of those surveyed said they would spend more time outside if it didn't have a negative effect on their skin. Using a moisturizer like the Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer will help protect your skin against the harmful drying elements and keep your skin soft and hydrated. I will be using it this summer when Spence and I go to Europe and spend many long hours outdoors!

I had several dry patches on my arms and legs, and with daily use, I found these patches became smoother and softer, and the overall appearance of my skin was more hydrated. No more embarrassing moments after I started using Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer

A little more about why you should use Curél Hydra Therapy:
Ceramides. These are present in healthy, natural skin as a barrier to keep moisture locked in. Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer contains these vital building blocks to keep your skin happy! The way this lotion works is pretty interesting. You apply it to your wet skin, right after showering or bathing, and before you towel off. This helps lock in the moisturizer from your bath or shower and replenishes the ceramides lost.

Who should use it?
  • Everyone that lives in a desert, cold, or dry climate. The harsh weather is hard on the skin and can cause parched skin.
  • Young children. Their skin is precious and is more susceptible to damage. They are also outside a lot more often.
